FAQs

Where are your products manufactured?

We make all of our landing nets (we still operate out of a really small garage) in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

Does the net float?

We were sick and tired of losing nets that float away down river (and having to hike 2km one time to go find it) so we designed them to sink.

If you fish in deep water we recommend getting the rigging butt cap so you can leash it on!

Do you offer clear rubber baskets instead of black?

Black is our only colour. We have heard from numerous guides that fish generally "relax" more in black rubber as opposed to clear. We believe that this is a sign of reduced stress which leads to higher survival rates after release.

This is by no means proven science, just the words of guides in our community with a lot more on-the-water experience than us. So we figured we should listen and prioritize the fish over aesthetics.

Can I use the net in saltwater?

Absolultey! Just make sure to give it a freshwater rinse when you get home.

The ceramic coated aluminum paired with the stainless steel bolts helps a lot with long term corrosion resistance.

Is shipping actually free?

You bet it is. If you buy a net and live in Canada we take care of the shipping for you (unless you want it expressed).

For international orders we do require you pay shipping in order to help offset tariff/export related costs we incur.

What is the return policy?

As a small business our goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase. If this isn't the case, let us know and we'll do our best to work with you to make it right.
